The Housemaid is Watching by Freida McFadden

Oh, I was watching out for this one!

After all, the 1st two books in the series were PRETTY GOOD! I rated both of them with 5 shiny stars. So a third one, will this one get those stars too? I'll keep this one short. It started strong but quickly became bizarre and unsatisfying. The ending was particularly disappointing. One thing I liked though, was adding another character's point of view. It was a breath of fresh air because let's face it, Millie was starting to drive me up the wall! The book was like a cheetah on roller skates - fast, but then it tripped over its own feet and fell flat on its face.

Still, despite its length, the book was a fast read, but ultimately a letdown. I'll not be "watching" out for the next one as eagerly as I was for this one. I'll read it, of course. But this one didn't even need Millie! Feeling letdown! Overall rating: 2/5.
